Philippine Business Council

The Philippine Business Council of Abu Dhabi, is an organization formed on 12th of June 2003 as a business group composed of businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals connected with local companies who share a common interest in developing local businesses, and trade and investment between the Philippines and United Arab Emirates. With the favorable endorsement of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, on December 2003, PBC Abu Dhabi was granted full membership by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) on 22nd March 2004.

The council has also received its commercial license to operate from the Abu Dhabi Municipality in order to implement its program and activities.

Objectives

To provide a forum for exchange of knowledge ad resources beneficial to the common business interest of its members.

To establish strong relationships with government agencies, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, trade associations and the international business community with the purpose of developing bilateral trade, investment and tourism.

To encourage Philippine companies and business persons to establish operations in the UAE to promote entrepreneurship amongst Filipinos in Abu Dhabi.

Mission

To promote the private sector trade and investment between the Philippines and the UAE.
To provide assistance, advice and promotional support to the Filipino business people in the UAE.

Vision

Our vision is to become a catalyst of economic growth for council members and Overseas Filipinos for the mutual benefit of the host and home country.

Everyone is a leader in their own ways however, it not only takes leadership traits, but with clear focus as well. There is always a need to go back to the fundamentals as well as the foundation of every organization.

The Philippine Business Council – Abu Dhabi and Western Region’s mandate is to support and assist its members, associates and affiliates and as a nonprofit organization that focuses on the business community, we are heading to a direction that can help the Filipino business community and individuals who are contemplating on venturing into business to eventually foster an entrepreneurial mindset to every Filipino in the UAE.

We also aim to be a conduit of foreign investments through international business communities targeting the Filipino Market for growth and expansion.

In the time that I, together with the 2021-2022 Executive Committee, will spend on nurturing and continuing the organization, we aim to focus on creating opportunities for our members to venture into businesses and expand your resources and networks. It’s in these moments that we must grab opportunities and move forward considering the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic to the world now. Specifically giving an emphasis in the concept of “synergy” and building an “ecosystem” towards
business sustainability.

I look forward to working with our members, associates and affiliates to build a better and greater community for the Filipinos here in the UAE.
